Archie Goodwin (basketball)
Archie Lee Goodwin III (born August 17, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for BC Budivelnyk of the European North Basketball League and the Champions League. He played college basketball for Kentucky. High school career Goodwin attended Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas where he played for coach Kevin Davis and led his team to back-to-back state finals. As a junior in 2010–2011, his bid for a championship came up short when his team fell to Alma High School from Alma, Arkansas. As a senior in 2011–12, Goodwin led the Bears to the Arkansas Class 5A state championship, scoring 27 points and seven rebounds in the title game; winning championship and tournament MVP honors along the way. Goodwin was twice named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Arkansas and named to the McDonald's and ''Parade'' All-American teams. Archie Goodwin (September 8, 1937 – March 1, 1998) was an American comic book writer, editor, and artist. He worked on a number of comic strips in addition to comic books, and is best known for his Warren and Marvel Comics work. For Warren he was chief writer and editor of landmark horror anthology titles ''Creepy'' and ''Eerie'' between 1964 and 1967. At Marvel, he served as the company's editor-in-chief from 1976 to the end of 1977. In the 1980s, he edited the publisher's anthology magazine '' Epic Illustrated'' and its Epic Comics imprint. He is also known for his work on '' Star Wars'' in both comic books and newspaper strips. Archie Stuart Wayne Goodwin (born 7 November 2004) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a striker for Newcastle Jets. Club career Newcastle Jets 2020–21 In 2020, after four years progressing through the ranks of the Newcastle Jets Academy, Goodwin began training with the club's first team at the age of 16. He would then go on to make his A-League senior debut in February 2021 as a substitute in a 1–0 win over Melbourne Victory. At 16 years, 106 days old Goodwin was the club's youngest first team player in history and impressed as he played 9 minutes and made one shot with his first touch of the match. Goodwin continued training with the first team, however the return of multiple players from injury made it difficult for him to play regularly for the Jets.
